Cell Phone vs. Bible

Wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell
phones?

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?
What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?
What if we flipped through it several times a day?
What if we used it to receive messages from the text?
What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?
What if we gave it to kids as gifts?
What if we used it as we traveled?
What if we used it in case of an emergency?
This is something to make you go ...hmm...where is my Bible?

Oh, and one more thing.. unlike our cell phones, we don't ever have to
worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the
bill.....IN FULL!

Pass this on to everyone you know that has a cell phone.

Makes you stop and think..
One more thing: no dropped calls!!!!!
And no robot answering machines either.. 24/7

Pecans In The Cemetery

Subject: FW: PECANS IN THE CEMETERY
PECANS IN THE CEMETERY

On the outskirts of a small town, there was a big, old pecan tree just inside the cemetery fence.
One day, two boys filled up a bucketful of nuts and sat down by
the tree, out of sight, and began dividing the nuts.
One for you, one for me. One for you, one for me," said one boy.
Several dropped and rolled down toward the fence.
Another boy came riding along the road on his bicycle. As he
passed, he thought he heard voices from inside the cemetery. He slowed down to investigate.
Sure enough, he heard, "One for you, one for me. One for you, one for me."
He just knew what it was. He jumped back on his bike and rode
off.
Just around the bend he met an old man with a cane, hobbling
along.
"Come here quick," said the boy, "you won't believe what I heard!
Satan and the Lord are down at the cemetery dividing up the souls.
The man said, "Beat it kid, can't you see it's hard for me to
walk."
When the boy insisted though, the man hobbled slowly to the
cemetery.
Standing by the fence they heard, "One for you, one for me. One
for you, one for me..
The old man whispered, "Boy, you've been tellin' me the truth.
Let's see if we can see the Lord."
Shaking with fear, they peered through the fence, yet were still
unable To see anything. The old man and the boy gripped the wrought
iron bars of the fence tighter and tighter as they tried to get a glimpse of the Lord.
At last they heard, "One for you, one for me. That's all. Now
let's go get those nuts by the fence and we'll be done."
They say the old man made it back to town a full 5 minutes ahead of the kid on the bike.

"I'm Honored To Call You Friend" (It's not a funny.. but it DOES make you think!

Dear Lord ...
I know you're watching over me
And I'm feeling truly blessed
For no matter what I pray for
You always know what's best!

I have this circle of E-mail friends,
Who mean the world to me;
Some days I "send" and "send,"
At other times, I let them be.

I am so blessed to have these friends,
With whom I've grown so close;
So this little poem I dedicate to them,
Because to me they are the "Most"!

When I see each name download,
And view the message they've sent;

I know they've thought of me that day,
And "well wishes" were their intent.

So to you, my friends, I would like to say, !
Thank you for being a part;
Of all my daily contacts,
This comes right from my heart.

"God bless you" is my prayer today,
I'm honored to call you "friend";
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until we write again.
